I suppose Beau has always like fetch, but recently he's shown a really profound love for it. Its so cute. The ball can't fit in his mouth so it kind of hangs out the side, which is hilarious. By the way, these are from yesterday, and I will post again tonight because Beau has his very first vet appointment. Well I guess not very first, because he had one before we got him, but his first with me. He'll be getting two shots, and they are supposed to make him drowsy..which doesn't bug me because he already is sleepy all the time. I've tried to make an effort to go outside and play with him for about 30 minutes. Because A) We don't have a road/sidewalk to walk him, B) Its a little weird walking a dog on a leash in your yard, C) There isn't a close by park that is doggy friendly.
At my dad's house we do have a larger area to walk our dogs. We have a pond that Beau and his "Aunt" Jazzy swim in, and all of the neighbors walk their dogs constantly. We haven't been outside recently though due to the fact that Oklahoma can't decide whether its winter or summer. Personally I'm ready for winter/fall. Thats my favorite! I can't believe its almost been a year that I've had this blog...even though I don't post THAT often. I'm trying hard too! I've found a time during the day that I have nothing to do, so I write drafts on here and then post them. ( Instead of watching American Horror Story ).
Back to Beau, he's kinda fat, he's lazy, and floppy. I love him so dang much its crazy. I think getting a pet isn't just about it being cute or having something to dress up. It really shows responsibility in a person, especially if it lives. That sounded really morbid, but I know someone who's boyfriend got them a dog and they had it for maybe a few weeks and it died...why? No parvo vaccine. Smart right? Its called responsibility...now this girl wants ANOTHER animal...and I'm just sitting here thinking "What's it going to be this time? Rabies?" Keep in mind this girl also wants a "purebred chihuahua with spanish roots". Excuse me, but there are millions of SHELTER pets who want YOU! They want to be loved just as much as a purebred chihuahua...not anything against those little yapping terrors, but I'd rather have something special than something pedigreed.
Okay sorry off topic, back to fetching...
