28

How far along? 28 Weeks!
How big is the peanut? Large Eggplant. 14.8 Inches, and around 2.2 pounds!
Total weight gain/loss? Even though I don't think this is super important, around 6-7 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Not yet! Sometimes I do wear maternity jeans if I want to look nicer, but I can still fit into pre-pregnancy jeans. I normally wear leggings!
Sleep? Sucks. I've been having a terrible time trying to get to sleep, staying asleep, and falling back asleep after I wake up to use the bathroom. Which is about 2-3 times a night, depending on when I stop drinking.
Best moment this week? So far, the best moment has been just spending the time I was able to with Shayne. He got called in today (Sunday) so we only had Saturday together. I enjoyed every minute of it!
Symptoms? Not really any, honestly. I was able to beg my doctor enough last appointment to give me acid reflux medicine. So, I don't have any of those issues anymore! I ate banana peppers the other night and didn't have ANY reflux! The only other symptom I have is just mild uncomfortableness. Which, this really only "hits" me at night when I go to lay down. I also get tired pretty fast if I'm up doing something. Honestly, if it wasn't for her moving, I don't know if I'd know I was pregnant!
Food cravings? Still none, I never really have craved anything. And when I do, its nothing that is like out of the ordinary or weird. It's not things I don't like or things I don't find myself eating.
Food aversions? Nope, had these early on, but now as long as I'm feeling hungry there's nothing that I flat out refuse that I typically like.
Gender? Girl!
Labor signs? The only "sign" of labor I think I have is just some pressure. I haven't felt this yet and it really started Friday.
Belly button in or out? Still in!
What I miss? Really nothing! My pregnancy has been pretty breezy and I have no serious complaints! Just every once in a while I'm uncomfortable, that's it! I do miss sleeping on my tummy though!
What I'm looking forward to? Drinking a glass of Cupcake wine. Since I only want one glass, I don't need anyone to watch her. Shayne has already got dibs.
Milestones? Hello Third Trimester!
Bump?  I will take a bumpie later this week, and update this post! For now here is a picture that sort of shows my bump!

UPDATES

Okay, so it has been forever since I posted and a lot of things have happened in my life so it is definitely time for an update. A long, overdue update.

So, first and foremost, little baby Hughes is a girl! Her name is Brooklynn Noelle. I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant and I honestly cannot believe it. We are extremely excited to meet her. She moves all the time, and she loves my ribs. I can feel when she has the hiccups! It cracks me up. Throughout my pregnancy, I've experienced horrible acid reflux, but luckily at my last OB/GYN appointment, I begged enough to be prescribed some medicine and I can finally eat happily again! I have not gained that much weight but my doctor is not concerned with all things considered (height, lifestyle, projected baby weight). I passed my glucose test this past Monday and to be honest, it was not as bad as everyone said!

Brooklynn's nursery is still unfinished, and it has not been started. However, this weekend we have plans to start clearing and cleaning out the room so we can start buying her furniture and decorations! I'm really excited to start her nursery because I'm in love with the theme we have chosen. Her little crib skirt is a cactus print and we also have some woodland/deer decorations going on. We also have some antlers and a cow skull with a flower crown that will be incorporated. She has a dream catcher as well and she has her letters "BNH." She also has a bow holder but there is NO WAY that it is enough space for all the bows she will have.

So, the next update I have is that I am in school with all A's! I am taking four classes; International Relations, History to 1877, Philosophy, and Mythology. I wanted to get some easier classes out of the way. I thought I was going to be super tired and unmotivated but to my surprise, I am not! I should've saved this current semester class list for next semester but oh well! Next semester I will be taking all online courses so mama gets to watch Brooke and I don't have to find a sitter unless I have plans or something. I have a super big fear of letting anyone watch her though. If someone is going to watch her they'll have to do it at my house. I really don't want her going to a bunch of places. Plus, she is my daughter and what I say, goes.

Anyway, back to classes. So, next semester I will be taking Accounting I, Business Communications, Business Calculus (not as hard as regular calculus), and Microeconomics. I'm excited and nervous at the same time, this time next year I'll be transferring to a university (hopefully).

I decided to leave my job at the bank. I was sad to leave and it was a hard decision but there were some things that happened that made the decision clear. However, I do miss the girls I consider to be close to and I still keep in touch with them as much as I can! Also, leaving allowed me to go back to school and focus better, and with Brooke coming I was going to leave anyway since the plan has always been for me to stay at home with her.

Another update is that Shayne has a new job. He took a job with an oil company. He is currently training and since oil is booming right now he is home pretty late. It definitely makes me miss him and I wish he was home more but, this new job is making it possible for us to buy a home hopefully this spring.

As far as wedding talk goes, we are not focusing on that right now. We are more excited about little Brooklynn's arrival and watching her grow up. Our wedding will more than likely be in the fall of 2018 or the spring of 2019. But, that is totally subject to change. Don't worry, we still really want to get married and we are very excited to do so, but we are both in agreement that baby is more exciting.

With all that being said, I'm obviously pretty busy. However, most Fridays I'm not swamped and I have downtime, so I'm going to try to post more on here. I like this platform more than YouTube, and I miss writing and connecting with family through the internet. I know some of my long distant family members look on here for updates if they don't really have Facebook, so I'm going to try to keep this as updated as I can!

I still don't know if I will be showing Brooklynn's face on here because of privacy reasons. I don't know everyone who comes on here and I don't want pictures of my child circulating on the internet, and getting into the hands of a wrong person.

Here are some pictures of the last few months, enjoy (:

On May 6th two little lines changed everything. Those two lines changed every single aspect of my life. This is going to be the most beautiful thing I ever experienced. I didn't believe it at first, I took so many tests because I just couldn't believe it. Even in the middle of the day my little love was strong enough and healthy enough to give me two dark lines, and a "Pregnant" on a digital test. I'll never forget the joy I felt in that moment. MY body is doing the most amazing thing. Shayne and I's baby is in there. We went to celebrate that night and we told as many people in person as we could. The weeks we went having to wait to see you for the first time were just crazy. It seemed like forever but it was worth it. We got to see you and it was the coolest thing I've ever seen. Your little heartbeat was beating fast at 163. At first I thought you would be a little boy...but now mostly everyone thinks your'e a girl. Including me and your daddy. I take after your Gigi so so much...when I was as little as you my heart was at 164, and Gigi had me first. Whatever you are though, it doesn't matter because your MINE. And nobody will know you better than me and your daddy. I'm going to share my body with you for the next several months and we are going to grow together. I love you so much and I'm so excited to give you your name.

WEDDING UPDATES AND CHANGES

I think Shayne and I are pretty set on a venue. As much as I would love to just do it myself I think I would be a tad bit disappointed if I did. I love the idea of a cute little backyard wedding but I just don't think I'd be able to pull it off as nicely as I'd want to. So, Im going to leave my wish lists up but please don't purchase anything because we will narrow down our wishlist/list once we pick  a venue!

This week I should be sending out save the dates, I have A LOT going on this week and I'm going to be extremely busy so forgive me for not posting or forgetting things! I really need to get our pictures done though and send at least save the dates out!

Yesterday I found my dress!! It was beautiful and perfect! I love it so much and its exactly what I was wanting. I also was able to pick out bridesmaids dresses which was nice. Everyone like them and Im very happy with them! Even Mackenzie loved her dress and it is pink!

Im currently sitting here with the boys, and Gracie is around here somewhere. I'm about to make a list for gifts I want to get my bridesmaids and maybe start registering at some places!

PLANNING THE WEDDING

This will be a "list" of things I need or wish lists, check lists, anything like that. You are more than welcome to look through these!

Two things:

***PLEASE let me know if you have ANY of these items! I would LOVE to borrow them or buy them/rent them from you! It would save me a lot and I'd really appreciate it!

***I AM NOT posting these to ask for hand outs, I'm posting these to keep track of what I need to buy! You are more than welcome to pitch in, but your company and your blessing will be enough if you are unable to purchase something! We appreciate whatever you can do for us! Even if it is a simple hug or prayer! <3

*** LINES/WORDS WITH "*" AT THE END MEAN THAT THE WORD OR PHRASE IS A CLICKABLE LINK!

*Doesn't have to be from this site, but this is what I'm looking for!
Still Need:
-Navy Hydrangeas
-Gray Snapdragons

CLYDE

Well, here we go. This post is a little late too. I'm trying to catch up!
On March, 7th of this year we welcomed another little furry friend into our home.
Mr. Clyde!
I saw Clyde being advertised for sale on a Facebook group. The situation in my opinion didn't look good. I went there with Shayne with the intent of checking on them...but we ended up bringing one of them home. There were two left out of the litter. When we got into the car we looked at each other and knew we had to save the other two. The next day, Katie and I went and got the other two and took them to Dana. They have been adopted TOGETHER!
Clyde is a mess, he is nothing like Beau. Beau was such a sweet, calm puppy. Clyde is needy and crazy. He is only 13 weeks old though, so he is still very much a baby! We love him a lot and Beau is ate up with him. They love each other like crazy!
