If you couldn't tell by the title of this post, this is going to be my "Whats in Brooklynn's Diaper Bag" post! Now, this, of course, will change as she gets older and it will also change a little before her arrival. I'm missing a few things for her diaper bag but I'm getting them this weekend. However, I had some downtime today so I wanted to go ahead and post this. Things that are going to be added are; a thermometer, changing table disposable paper things, her milk will obviously go in here, pacifier wipes, and more. Also, those extra outfits are not for her to stay the night anywhere or even stay anywhere. She isn't going anywhere for several months and she will not be staying the night anywhere but with me until I feel like she is old enough. There is no reason for anyone to watch my infant if I am perfectly able to unless I ask of course.
With those things said, this is Brooklynn's diaper bag!
This is the outside of her diaper bag. It is embroidered beautifully and I think its absolutely perfect. BONUS: Nobody can steal my bag! Haha! Her diaper bag is a Vera Bradley one, I will link it at the end of this post. I did not use the Vera Bradley embroidery option, my step mom used a private party.
This is what the inside of her diaper bag looks like. As you can see, there are still two big pockets that are reserved for bottles and later on, snacks and toys. Also, since I will be breastfeeding her (exclusively, I hope), my snacks will go in here and if I can fit my other breastfeeding essentials in here this is where they'd be!
There are also two mesh pockets here that I keep my reusable wipe pouch (from Huggies) and I think 4 diapers. Don't worry, there's more inside the bag, but I just have these few here.
One of my favorite parts of her diaper bag is this changing insert that came with the bag. I think this is so convenient and I didn't have to purchase one separately. The material this is made of is so soft and it is also removable so I can wash it.
Im serious you guys, this stuff is so soft!
So, on the sides of the bag, there are two pockets that could fit a thermos or a bottle. For now, in this one, I have a PocketBac hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works, and it is in a cute little holder. Can you guys tell this is old? Haha, B&BW has redesigned their hand sanitizers but I have around 100 from my obsession that are unused and I thought the sassy cat was purrfect! The other pouch on the side is empty. Also in this pocket, I just have a cute soft rattle that Shayne and I bought for her. It was a little pricey, it was from a boutique in the city.
It was worth it though!
So this is everything that is in my diaper bag, which I will now go into detail about!
Like I said, I have more diapers in the actual bag itself. I also have a regular sized tube of Desitin (subject to change if this doesn't work well for her), a travel-sized Aveeno baby lotion, and a travel sized Johnson's baby lotion.
This little pouch came with a cute safety infant kit I got as a gift and I decided to utilize it in my diaper bag for the important things! Here I have Motrin, Tylenol, Gas Relief, some alchohol wipes, the corresponding medicine dispensers, and a nose sucker. In this pouch I'll also put the thermometer. I just don't have one yet for in here, her nursery already has one.
Here is just a burp cloth, a bib, and an extra pacifier and pacifier clip. The burp cloth was made by my Nona. It is so incredibly soft and I absolutlety love it. The bib is from gymboree and then the paci and clip is from target.
Next, I have two extra outfits.
The first outfit is a long sleeved gray and white onesie from Cat and Jack, some pink pants from Gerber, and a hat I got ata consignment store (for 25 cents). Theres also an extra pair of plain socks, and some plain gray mittens.
The next outfit is this adorable purple penguin onesie by Gerber, some blue ruffle-butt pants, a matching blue hat, some plain socks, and these are the same mittens.
The last thing in her diaper bag is my favorite receiving blanket. My Nona and I made this together and it is very special to me. I called Brooklynn my little bee since before I knew what she was. The little bumblebees are just adorable and this is one of the blankets I'll take to the hospital for her. Beau wanted to be a part of this the enitre time, and when the rug was finally open he wanted a photo shoot.
Okay, maybe it was me that wanted a photo shoot. I can't believe this little man is going to be 4 on Saturday. I can't handle this!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post, I'm so ready for her I can't wait.
