SEPTEMBER

Well, once again I have found myself lacking at my blogging schedule! I really want to get back in to it, and I know I say that often but I really like my blog and I think other people like it too! So, instead of doing a blogging schedule and trying to stick to it like glue, I'm going to post when I can, when I'm free and share it with you all, and I'll at least have one post a week! I can't believe it is already September! It seems like yesterday I was moving in to the apartment in the winter! So weird. This is my absolute favorite time of the year though. From here through Christmas, my all time favorite weather, scents, activities...

I thought I would start with a little update for everyone. I have officially decided (if you missed my last update-here is a small recap) to get my PhD in Psychology. I want to be a therapist and that is my long term goal as of now! Also, as of TODAY, I was hired at a local bank! I am beyond excited to be working with my best friend, Lorian, as well as all of the other girls that work there. Im excited to make some more friendships and be a part of a team in a more professional setting (not retail, thank the Lord). It is such a blessing that something finally came along for me. I knew I was doing the right thing by waiting for a while. Shayne is going to school for his business degree. I think he wants his Masters. Most of the time we don't have a lot of time to talk. He was recently gone for two weeks and home on the weekends so we haven't had a ton of talking time! And it looks like he will be leaving more often as well, so the future plans to stay at our current apartment look a little slim. Since him traveling is probably going to be a regular thing, I'm wanting to move closer to where I will be working. It is also closer to family so that way I won't be so lonely when the time comes that he leaves!

Something unfortunate that happened and we had to decide on was to let Lilly live with Shayne's parents. We knew she loved us, and loved Beau but she did not like apartment living. She was doing things that were not her at all, and we could tell she just wasn't herself and she was unhappy. Once we are able to find a house (I don't know when this will happen..), we will take her back, as long as the house has a backyard that way she can go outside whenever she wants! We really, really miss her but we know she is a lot happier in the wide open spaces at his mom's house!

Beau currently has fleas. I have no idea where he got them. It has never been a problem before and now he has them. Im certain a dog in the complex has them or something and now they have spread to the ground and other dogs. I haven't seen any on Gracie or around the house, just on my poor baby! I've done everything I can think of at this point. He has been given flea/tick prevention, a flea bath, and I've sprayed the house. I've also put drops in his ears but he is still shaking and itching like crazy! I just don't know what else to do for him. That shampoo dries out their skin so badly and Im not sure if his skin is just really irritated right now and thats why he is itchy or if they are still on him. I'm constantly checking him and it doesn't seem like there on any on him but I just don't know why else he would be so itchy. His ears are so red and his coat is so dry...my poor boy needs some help!
I'm like my mom so I've been vacuuming and washing EVERYTHING since I saw the one flea on him. I don't want them spreading to ANYTHING. Especially Gracie, because giving a cat a bath is a nightmare and I am not prepared to do that.

I already have Halloween decorations up, I know its only September but I couldn't resist! They just look so cute and makes our apartment look super adorable! I've been spending a lot of time with family lately, mostly grandparents. Its hard to find time for everyone now that school has started. I have so many assignments and deadlines to meet every week. Shayne went to see his family last Saturday and I wasn't able to go because I had a report in Biology due. I thought I might be able to do it later that night but I didn't want to chance it and I'm glad I didn't because it took me the whole time he was gone and some! Speaking of school, it is going great. I currently have straight A's. But Im anticipating (unfortunately) that that might change just a little bit because of the newly added work schedule. I'll just have to plan my time accordingly and adjust. Luckily, this job's hours are either 1-6, or 3-6. So I can count on those hours and plan for before hand instead of trying to cram it in a night time!

Recovery is also going good. After I had my wisdom teeth out I lost a lot of weight again. I'm trying to get it back up but I just don't have a good appetite. After Shayne's surgery he told me he didn't really have on either...and he really doesn't. It is really surprising. I guess all those different medicines can really effect your system in a bad way. So, I unfortunately don't eat a lot...but the thing is is that I'm just not hungry. Like I said, I have no appetite so its hard to force anything down!

I'm sure a lot of my family is concerned about how this job and school is going to affect my recovery process. I predict that I'm going to be a little stressed. However, being able to work with my best friend is going to really help with that stress. I think all jobs have the tendency to be stressful every once in a while, but this one seems incredibly laid back and easy-going. Which I think will really help with my mood and everything. I really don't foresee too much stress in my future, other than stress from school. The other kind of stress I can predict happening is from family. I always want to see them and I know they always look forward to seeing me but I have to concentrate on school and my other new priority, work! Which again, I'm extremely excited about!

I'll probably have another update or post later this week, depending on what I do during the day! I've missed this blog and I hope you all look forward to me posting again!
