So you are now 5.5 months old. I cannot believe you are almost half of a year old. You are such a smart and sweet little baby. You can sit up by yourself, you're on stage 2 foods, you grab people nd give them kisses, you have a BIG persontality, you are finally letting mommy out bows in your hair. We love you so much peanut! You are literally the best part of every day! I love you so much little mini me (not with looks, but her personality).
Her next appointment is July 24th, where she has to get more shots :( She has had one doctor visit since her four month visit, because she was constipated! Haha! She loves the youtube videos that sing, its a channel called "Simple Songs." Her favorite it "Baby Shark." EVERYONE you know has this song memorized and stuck in their head. You have been spending a lot of time with Aunt Kenzie, because mommy is watching her for the summer. You love to swim, or as we call it "sim sim." You are a great eater! You still love Glowwy. Everyone just loves you like crazy!

FOUR MONTHS
So, I'm late as usual on posting an update! My bad! She's changed so much since this picture that it's sort of hard for me to remember exactly everything she'd done unless I have her baby book with me. So this is just going to be a summary of what I can remember from last month!
So, Brooklynn got her four month shots. She weighed 11 pounds and 15 ounces. She was 24.5 inches tall. We got the okay to try cereal (one of my favorite pictures is below!). She celebrated her first Mother's Day. She went for her first Zoo trip. She cut TWO TEETH within a few weeks of each other. AND she went for her first swim!
This little girl lights up our lives and everyone she meets. Everyone always says shes just gorgeous. She is a little flirt everywhere we go. She's such a good baby, she's happy and healthy. She still loves glowwy the glow worm, her cow toy, and others. Brooklynn, we love you so very much it hurts!

THREE MONTHS
She loves the dogs and thinks Gracie is funny! She loves to be outside as well, just not in the wind!
We have made it to four months on mommy milk. Which is so awesome to me! I'm very proud of myself for giving her the best start (Not knocking people that use formula!). It is very hard and time-consuming to pump like I do, but it's worth it to take credit for her growing!
Her next Dr.'s appointment is on the 14th. I'm not ready for her to get more shots because it broke my heart last time but I know it is necessary!
She is spoiled rotten. She loves when mommy sings "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid. But it has to be me that sings it. It can't even be the recording. She is also going through the phase of being very clingy to me (makes sense), and she does not like strangers to hold her. She doesn't mind them talking to her though. She is a very stress-sensitive baby too. She can definitely tell when I'm even slightly stressed out, and in turn, she acts belligerent. She loves her bouncer, her teepee, and there are a few toys she prefers over others.

TWO MONTHS
I'm writing this as my now almost THREE-month-old is snoring peacefully in her swing. Needless to say, I cannot believe she is already nearly three months old and I'm not sure I like it much. I will say though that this age has been very fun. Minus the colic. She is a happy baby, and thanks to me, has a great routine. She is a very particular little thing though. She is definitely able to recognize who Shayne and I are, and with other people, she doesn't really handle it well. She'd rather be with mommy or daddy. Our daily routine consists of waking up at around 3 AM to pump and feed her. Then we go back to sleep until around 7-8. When she wakes up I have to pump again, but she just sits and smiles at me. She'll watch me and we will talk about everything. Shayne is the one who mainly gets up with her at night, with mommy she wants to cuddle so she won't go to sleep for me. I also can't talk to her at night because she will want me and want to be held. So when we wake up in the morning, she is extremely excited to see me. After she eats and I pump, we go to town so I can get a Herbalife tea. She usually takes maybe a 30-minute nap, and then she's up and wants to play. So we do an array of different activities. We play in the teepee, have tummy time, bounce in her bouncer, read a book, walk around and do chores, sit and talk with her on my lap, and other things. After about 2 hours she is ready for a decent nap. This nap generally starts at 11-12 or so and lasts for an hour and a half to two hours. After she wakes up she is hungry and eats, and I usually pump when she goes down so I don't have to do it when she's up. She does not like to be held like a newborn anymore, if she does like to be held, it's facing outward, or on my chest. She really only likes to be on my chest though. Occasionally she will lay on Shayne like that if she is tired enough. When someone holds her wrong she just screams and doesn't stop screaming until she wears herself out. She likes to walk around, be patted, and bounce. So during this awake "stretch", I usually put her in her outward facing carrier and walk around and do chores. That way I can get some things done while entertaining her. Typically her next nap is a little challenging to put her down. I'll walk around and bounce her, lay with her in our bed and pat her back, set her in her swing, her bouncer, or go for a car ride. Generally, something works and she sleeps for 30 minutes to an hour. Sometimes less though. After she wakes up from this stretch she cat naps for maybe 15 minutes at a time until 9:30-10. In between, we just try to keep her somewhat happy. Her colic-period lasts from 6-9 usually. We bathe her every night almost, it calms down her colic a lot. She eats at around 8:30-9, but we "top her off" at ten. She usually falls asleep between 9:30-10, and wakes up in the early morning hours and we start over.
She got her two-month-old shots on the 5th this month. It was so sad, but she didn't cry very much. My mom and I cried more than she did. She is itty bitty and on the lower end percentile wise. Her pediatrician is not concerned though because Shayne and I are not very big people and she is just small like us. She was officially diagnosed with colic at this appointment. Her doctor says she's incredibly beautiful, and I definitely think so too. She also is working on beating her first cold. I caught it from somewhere and then her and Shayne got it. She is on the uphill slope now <3
She is very clingy with me as I described above, which makes sense since we are together all day. It doesn't matter who has her, if I start talking, she tries to find me. I know we have a special bond and nobody can take that away from me.
I'm still pumping and its definitely getting old. I have about a 4 months supply in my deep freezer, so if something happened to my supply I'd definitely get her to 6 months. However, I'm not ready to stop yet, my goal is a year. I think I'll be able to quit at around the 6-month mark. I know these girls are ready for a break. Pumping is really, really hard. She is still exclusively eating mommy's milk, and we will not be adding anything to her diet. I am not comfortable with that since it is a HUGE choking hazard. Plus, she is doing great with my milk. She is gaining weight, she is getting full. I will not do anything unless her pediatrician 'okay's' it. I don't really even want her sleeping through the night yet anyway, we don't mind getting up with her. I don't expect a two-month-old to sleep through the night and I don't want to supplement just so we can sleep more. Since she already has colic I refuse to add anything to possibly make it worse. So what we are doing is fine. (:
Brooklynn has a ton of nicknames. She loves to smile. Her favorite book is a touch and feel baby animals book. Her favorite page is the bears. Her favorite toy is her light up cow that her Nana bought her. She rolled over from her side to her tummy once so far and is doing great with her head. She still bobbles every once in a while but for the most part, her head control is amazing! She is starting to grasp objects. She is very alert and attentive to her surroundings. She likes to look at the objects around her. We have a quilt on the couch that has a dark pattern she likes to look at. When she is on my lap facing me she is always looking at my shirt and examining whatever is on it. She is such a smart little thing, and I love every second I spend with her.
She is a bit of a diva at times, but it's just adorable. She is so cute and I can tell she loves us very much.
